"Tell me... what's suxamethonium?" asked the anesthetist i was cordially chatting with in the labour room.

Ah dang it! She caught me off guard..

Err... I think i know this... (sudden panic attack)

Dear God, i HOPE i know this....

"Ermm, is it a muscle relaxant?", i said slowly and cautiously, not wanting to sound stupid.

"Izzy, I don't want you to answer my question with another question. Give me an answer, a proper one. You know u've got it all in your head, don't be afraid to say it. Show me how confident you are with your answer. Now, let's try this again. What's suxamethonium, Izzy?"

"SUXAMETHONIUM IS A MUSCLE RELAXANT!" I said with fake enthusiasm, not particularly pleased about being told off in front of a patient.

"Good girl. That's more like it."

Oh well~ I guess it's no use trying to act all mature and big here. Until i get my medical license i'll be treated like a kindergartener.
