Viva Espana!!

I have to write this quick; before my sleepiness catch up to me, or before my celebratory mood is lost - whichever comes first. Simply put, MY TEAM WON!!!! Hurrah!

So it's like this, everyone in my family (excluding my big bro who's job-hunting in OZ and my 12-yo kid sister who knows as much about football as she does about housework) have their own team - first come first serve basis. Ude (Netherlands) and Abah (Germany) being the only 2 who actually know what 'off-side' means got to choose first. Then my sister beat me to Portugal. No biggies, I took Spain. And mom got Italy (dutifully chosen by Abah).

So EURO Cup 2008 final was between me and Dad.
And I won!!! Woot~

Gosh, I love football.
... but i still can't figure out how 'off-side' works.

Nighty-nite.

BRAVE STORY

---------SPOILER WARNING--------

Absolutely brilliant. I loved it. And the main protagonist is just so likable you can’t help but adore him. I’m giving it an 8/10 for pure fun and pleasurable anime-watching. The music was also nice especially the ending theme (Ketsui no Asa ni (決意の朝に)" by AQUA TIMEZ), and the animation was breathtakingly fantastic. That ultimately means that this will be going into my famed “Hall of Anime Favorites”. Brave story: here’s 2 thumbs up! d(^_____^)b

Alright, so you’re probably wondering what the anime’s about. Well, it tells the story of Mitani Wataru, an 11 year-old boy, as he embarks on a perilous mission to change his destiny. He goes into a fantasy world where he faces certain challenges in order to obtain five gemstones that will take him to the Goddess of Fortune. If he succeeds in attaining all the gemstones, she will grant him a wish. Yes, that’s ONE wish and ONE wish only!! If it were me, I would have asked for an infinite amount of wishes. Unlike Wataru, I’m super greedy (and maybe a lil smarter.. hehehe).

My favorite part of the movie? I think I’ll have to go with the scene where Mitsuru Ashikawa dies. Not that I enjoyed watching him die, but since that particular scene managed to bring me to tears, I’d have to say it was just impressively put together. The dialogue; the atmosphere; everything was just right in that scene. I especially like the part where Mitsuru placed his bloody hand on Wataru’s cheek as Wataru cradled his friend’s fatally wounded body. That’s simply a touch of class. Absolutely hearwarming. Ahh, but don’t worry, this movie has a happy ending. Oppsss.. spoiler? =P

Oh, I should mention this. I really really like Mitsuru’s voice. Sounds very kakkoi and oddly familiar. I’m sure I’ve heard it in a different anime somewhere. Hahaha... Gosh, he’s supposed to be an 11 year-old kid, why am I swooning at the sound of his voice?? I’m such a dope. XP

Anyway, have a go at it. You’ll enjoy the experience!

Toodles~
