Final med 2011

I have this niggling suspicion that the medical school where I go to is conducting a mass research project to see how far the human endurance can stretch before a person starts going crazy. It's either that, or they just enjoy torturing us.

I mean, look at this calender! (pls scroll down) It's filled to brim; jam-packed to inhumane levels! I know i sound like a one-girl pity party but trust me, everyone in class is complaining one way or the other. No holidays, no study leave, exams, exams and more exams.

Really, if they plan on seeing each and every one of us die by the end of the course, they might as well just kill us now and get it over with. Why do they even bother coming up with such a complicated year plan? And then just to stir things up a bit, they tell us that 20 people from the class would be randomly selected to be sent to Sligo against our will, and at our own expense.

Hmphh. At the very least they should have shown some effort, however minor, to reimburse us for the trouble (Like other medical schools i know).  But NOOOOOOO.......

"We're NUI Galway.. we are descendants of a vampire clan. We only know how to suck blood and steal students' money. What is this you're talking about? Reimbursement? Is it food??"

Grrr... Yes, as you might have guessed by now, I am not a happy camper. In fact, i am so angry I feel like vandalizing the med school just before i leave for good next year. I have a few great plans already brewing in my devious mind.

You just wait you!

p/s: Please do not take my words literally. I have never vandalized anything in my life and don't plan on doing so in the near future. I'm just letting off some steam is all. ^^

Aslmlkm Dera Putri,
Wow, that was not so bad compared to my schedules these days! 6 days starting last Sunday in China, up and running in the wee early Subuh when Fajar was at 6:30am and finishing work almost near midnite, w a couple past even that, either on a plane (scary)or a bumpy ride (even more scary the way they drive in China in general), missing the connecting flight home at the end in Guangzhou and frantically being ushered from one counter to another, leaving just minutes to clear quarantine and immigration and then rushing on foot carrying heavy carry-on luggages (I usually bring more than one)to the gate a mile away it seemed. I didn't have time to go window shopping, except the lst nite for an hour before the shops closed.
Alhamdulillah, the old body was able to withstand those hectic itinerary and now at home to spend the short weekend with my lovely wife and half the family, knowingly, only to fly off to Phnom Penh of Cambodia Monday morning for another week-packed work-plan. Wonder how that wud turn out? However, I was up to it simply because I believe I am doing something very important to a lot of people, the family included and so the zest is with me and I kind of enjoyed the work I have to do.
Dear, your friends and you are doing the noblest of work that is very important to a lot more people than mine ever is. By virtue of that, I am sure you can do it with a lot more joys too. It is the way we look at it. I hope u realize how important the work that you are doing today to many many people here at home. Someday, you mayb the one that can make many people very happy or at the least, feeling better because of what you can do or say to them and it has a lot to do with what you have to do in your final med.
Dear Putri,
Take it easy. Life is so much fun if we know how to appreciate what God has in store for us. I am sure you can appreciate what I mean.
Love you always.
