2 words: Freakin' awesome!!
The first time my bro suggested this, chiming in his opinion of its brilliance, i was a bit skeptical. Ahhh, another mecha i thought. Probably some lousy fight scenes and a whole bunch of weird technical jargons. Oh and what the heck, let's throw in a couple of supposedly-futuristic technology, and voila... mecha for you. NOT my preferred cup of tea, unfortunately.
However, for politeness sake, i downloaded the whole series and told my bro i'd watch it when time permits [if ever]. So there it sat, a good 5 months in my external HDD, using up precious memory space. And just when i started having thoughts of deleting the whole space-waster, i got a call from Bro.
"So how was the anime?"
..........Gulp.
Busted!!!!
Hahahaha.. He liked it SO much i'm sure he was kinda hurt that i never got around to watching it. Tons of excuses later and a handful of blackmails and threats from Bro, i finally agreed to actually watch this and not just leave it rotting away.
And ahhhhh, the irony!!!
To think that I'd fall in love with a mecha-themed anime!
But Code Geass is just unexpectedly good. In fact, it's not only good, it's excellent.
I usually rate a good anime by how engaged and entertained i was by it.
Don't ask me about character development, or plot, or the use of CG or whatever. I'm no professional and my judgments are based purely on my level of satisfaction alone.
This, i'd probably give a 9/10.

I really gotta hand it to my bro, he sure does have excellent taste in anime.
Code Geass is absolutely marvellous.
Definitely well worth the 5GB it took up. =)
